Cookie Policy
This page explains how MediaCircular uses cookies and similar technologies, and how you can control them.
01 What are cookies
Cookies are small text files that a website stores in your browser. We also use similar technologies such as your browser’s local storage, which keeps small pieces of information on your device. We refer to all of these as cookies in this policy.
02 How we use them
- Essential: needed to keep the site secure and to let our staff sign in. They are not set for ordinary visitors.
- Preferences: remember your choices on our subscribe popup, so it does not keep reappearing and so a typed email address can be pre-filled.
At the time of writing we do not use cookies to show you personalised advertising. If that changes, we will update this page.
03 What is stored
| Name | Type | Purpose | Lasts |
|---|---|---|---|
| mc_sub_seen | Local storage | Remembers that you closed or completed the subscribe popup | Up to 30 days |
| mc_sub_email | Local storage | Remembers an email address you typed, to pre-fill the subscribe form | Until you clear your browser data |
| wordpress_*, wp-settings-* | Cookie | Keep our staff signed in to the site. Not set for ordinary visitors | Session, up to about 14 days |
04 Third-party services
Our pages load fonts, icons and code libraries from providers such as Google Fonts, Font Awesome (cdnjs) and jsDelivr. These providers may receive your IP address and browser details when your browser requests those files. Their own policies explain how they handle that information.
05 Managing cookies
You can delete cookies and local storage, or block them, in your browser settings. If you do, parts of the site may not work as expected, and the subscribe popup may appear again.
06 Changes and contact
We may update this policy as our use of cookies changes. The date at the top shows when it was last updated. Questions can be sent to hello@mediacircular.com. See also our Privacy Policy.
